The Remote Career Playbook
A practical module that comes with every program. It teaches you how remote work is found and done, and how to present your skills with care.
A playbook, not a promise
We teach skills. We don't promise jobs or income. What the Playbook gives you is knowledge: how remote hiring works, how to show your work, and how to apply and work safely. What you do with it is up to you.
What it covers
- How remote work is found. The main routes into remote work (employee, contractor, freelance client and agency) and what each one expects of you.
- Your portfolio. A one-page portfolio profile, a matching LinkedIn profile, and three short case studies built from your practice work.
- Finding and applying. Where to look, how to reach out, how to track your applications, and how to spot fake or unsafe offers.
- Tests and interviews. How skill tests, recorded interviews and live video interviews work, and how to answer common questions clearly.
- Rates, contracts and scope. How to read a simple contract, set a rate, agree what is and is not included, and notice red flags. This is awareness, not legal advice.
- Getting paid from Nigeria. How to invoice a client abroad, the ways of receiving foreign currency, and keeping records for a tax professional.
- Your first 90 days. A communication routine, asking for feedback, protecting accounts and data, using AI responsibly, and staying employable.
Built around your program
The Playbook is the same module for everyone, plus a one-page role pack for your program with a sample portfolio profile, a portfolio case-study example and interview questions for that kind of role.
